flying home

The invention of the flying machine is quite amazing, at least Mateo agrees with me. He loves flying and so does his big sister. He could hardly wait to get on the plane. We had to leave the stroller at the beginning of the tunnel, so he had to walk the rest of the way. I let go of him for a second, and off he went, sneaking by everyone else, ready to board. Once inside the plane, he sat down on the first seat he saw. First class, nice try little one!
As soon as we sat down he wanted to look at the window. Sophia graciously let him sit on her lap as much as he wanted. Thank you for a patient and helpful big sister.

He watched everything outside first the trucks and later the fields below.

Luckly every flight was either his nap or bed time, so he slept most of the time.
Sophia was excited to watch the movie of course and she did, and I was glad that in the second plane we were without a screen and she just had to sleep!

We traveled so well together. Before the trip we talked about how an adventure can be exciting but also draining and that therefore it was important that we all worked together, that we needed our positive energy and happy thoughts. Sophia felt important and was a sport the whole time!
