I usually don't feel the need to celebrate Mother's day. We work hard in our family to have respect and appreciation for one another every day. I know this sounds like a cliche, but it really does happen to be our life philosophy.
Our time together is and has been really harmonious and therefore I wanted to celebrate this feeling of happiness to be with these dear and amazing people I call my family.
The day was unplanned and everything just happened spontaneous, which we enjoyed and don't get to do very often with our busy schedules.
I asked Theodore to bake us scones, which he did and we ate them all, with butter and jam on top!
Sophia gave me flowers (see pic above) and a beautiful picture of me and her. (It is already hanging in our kitchen and will look at it every day)
After a bath in the morning and a hair cut later on, we took a trip to the library and stopped at a Italian deli to pick up some delicious walnut sauce, special pasta, bread and the best part... flour less chocolate cake!!!!
I feel fortunate to spend my life with these fabulous children, they are really strong and kind souls.
Thank you for a carefree day. I love being your mom!
