Yesterday morning I woke up just in time to join my family on a morning adventure to a nature preserve at Alpine lake.
We wandered past fields of wild flowers and grasses.
After a while we set out some paints and paper and the artists went to work. The first one is the result of Mateo's first water color experience. 
Everyone painted while I lay down and just starred at the sky, watching the clouds move.
Mateo started to bring me flowers. My little boy brought me flowers, and then my big girl too. Too cute.
We ended our stay with some rock climbing. Sophia was a proud climber, up and down. Last time we came she got up, but then was scared going down. She realized she had grown a bit :)
Oh, I was glad I got up in time to join them and had this relaxing morning outside.
The reports are now off to be proofed, and then I am done.
This is our last full week of school before the summer starts. I am looking forward to the long weekend. I have some girlfriend plans.... ;)
