the enchanted cottage

Although it is nearly a week ago that this happen I wanted to post about it any way. It doesn't happen very often that Theodore and I get to go out, but it was a treasured moment and therefore needs to appear here.

On Friday we went to the Stanford Theater, which, if you have never been, is a beautiful old theater, only playing old movies. It is cheap to get in and there is delicious pop corn. We sat in the balcony, front row. At this theater you can go for a double feature, which we did. First we watched Claudia and afterwards The Enchanted Cottage. A beautiful love story, reminding me once again that love is not about what other people think it is but what we feel for one another. Beauty comes from within and people who love each other will see that beauty.

In between the movies an organ player comes up in front the red velvet curtain sitting at an organ, playing old tunes. What fun!

When we came outside the theater, little lights were lighting up the streets and a band of xylophone players were making music. The atmosphere was festive, summery and romantic. I smiled when I walked with my best friend and partner down the street that night.
