A while back, when Sophia was still little my parents brought us these lovely Osteimer figures from Germany. Actually these particular ones come from my grandma's attic, stored there, as my sisters and I used to play with them. 
Now Mateo has discovered them and loves to take them out. Last Christmas my mom made little hay piles for them. With Mateo around that is all the animals will do, eat and drink water. ;) The silk scarf serves as the drinking water and for the duck's (quack, quack) swimming pond.
In between playing he loves to watch our neighbor mow the grass. Any big noise will have him running to the window looking out, while shouting for "Opa" until he sees that is the "man" from next door. ;(
