This change also brought with itself that now I ride my bike to school in the mornings by myself! I have an hour in my classroom by myself, without my own children, without my students, without many other teachers around, just me.
After my meditation I get dressed, make breakfast all ready on the table and then hop on my bike. My mornings have become a treasured time of the day. I can ride as fast as I feel like it, I can sing if I want too, I can be completely quiet and notice the beauty around me, I can think about the day, I can reflect on life at home and life at school. There seems to be space in my mornings. I drink in the ME time. I drink so much of it that even by the end of the day I still have a taste of it and fuels my patients, my endurance, my kindness, my living from the heart.
I love my mornings!
