back on the bike

I used to be able to ride my bike to and from work. Even though sometimes I wished for that easy transportation, a car, I generally enjoyed riding my bike and having that time to do something relaxing while I was with my children. We would sing and talk or just ride quietly together.
Since we had our first Children's School year in our living room, getting to work was a matter of going down the stairs. ;) This certainly had advantages too, but then I missed riding my bike. Due to my back pain this summer, I had not ridden my bike either. This was a long way of saying: I am happy to say I am back riding my bike to work!

On Thursday morning Sophia and I took our bikes to camp in the morning. In the early afternoon I took my bike to pick up Mateo at his little school. Even though my legs were very tiered afterwards, I felt good and strong again!

The new path we ride is beautiful. It takes us through back of town, no houses, just trees, and green and quiet. I love the little arches over the path.

All this makes me glad to start something new. So often I get trapped in the routine of things, just going about my day, day after day after day.... The new helps me to see what is around me and inside me. Appreciation and Gratitude. People always find something to complain about, me too. Because there is always something that could be changed, improved, handled differently. Of course that is always very needed, but then it is refreshing to look at the things we do have, the things we love, the way we do it so beautifully.

A new path can help me see what I have and feel grateful.
