silhouette- DIY

Today is a slow, very slow kind of day. I don't think I have accomplished much at all today and it is already 4pm. Oh well, luckily we have Monday off, so I guess it is ok to have a day like this when you have an extra day to catch up again! ;)

Another DIY I did over the summer were my children's silhouettes. I had them in mind for a very long time. It was the perfect, quick and easy project to complete in a short afternoon.

I took side pictures of the children, printed them out, carefully cut them out with nail scissors and then painted them black with tempera paint!

I got the frames on sale at JOANN's and tada now they are hanging in our hallway as you go up the stairs.

I made a second pair for my parents. I hope they liked them too! ;)
