I surprised Sophia with a school cone on her first morning. This is an old german tradition. The children who enter first grade, receive a school cone filled with goodies and small presents. I made the cone myself. I only used scraps of paper I had in the house. I had fun and was excited myself! She feels so grown up. "Mama, I am going into first grade!" This year it really is a BIG deal!
I found an old picture of me, when I entered first grade. I had the same tooth missing as Sophia on her big day!
Happy first day of school dear Sophia one, that this will be a year filled with joy and love of learning!

Letzte Woche hat bei uns die Schule wieder angefangen. Die Sophia ist in die erste Klasse gekommen und ich unterrichte dieses Jahr im "Kindergarten".
Ich habe die Sophia mit einer Schultuete ueberrascht. Ich habe Leckerrein, ein Kartenspiel und andere Kleinigkeiten rein getan. Die Schultuete habe ich selber gebastelt mit Papier dass ich noch so im Haus hatte. Ich hatte Spass am Basteln und war selber gespannt Ihr die Tuete zu geben.
Sie ist so gross geworden. "Mama ich komme in die erste Klasse!" Dieses Jahr ist es wirklich eine grosse Sache!
Ich habe noch ein Bild von mir gefunden, als ich in die erste Klasse gekommen bin. Ich hatte genau die gleiche Zahnluecke wie Sophia an ihrem grossen Tag hatte.
Einen wunderschoenen Tag wuensche ich dir liebe Sophia und dass dieses Jahr mit viel Freude und Liebe am Lernen gefuellt ist!
ps. An Ihrem ersten Tag hatte sie das Kleid an, das ich Ihr genaeht habe! ;)
