The teaching profession requires constant communication. We communicate with the children, in order to teach them, listen to them, and help them. We also communicate with the parents, and we communicate with each other. Because we are dealing with people and little people no less, who are the most treasured parts of the parents life. Communication often seems more complicated and valuable at the same time.
My job is to describe my observations of the child in the classroom setting. To relay the child's behavior to the parent in an objective way, that is helpful and informative. In the meantime the parents of course know their child better than I ever will.
At our school, teachers work so hard, and with such dedication. Now, as a parent speaking I truly appreciate all the communication and efforts they put into making my daughters experience at school a grand one!
Communication has never been my strength, but my goal has always been to improve it and to learn. I am grateful to be a teacher and to be able to share my thoughts in writing right here and now!
Getting an early start on my meditation tonight. Mateo and Sophia were both up last night. So, time to still and then sleep!
