There are so many wonderful traditions I inherited from my family. And then there are once that I created new for my family and life now!
One tradition I kept from my childhood for the christmas tree to appear on christmas eve. It has been said in my family that the christ child brings the christmas tree to us. It was magical to walk into a lighted room with real candles on the tree.
A new tradition I learned to love is making popcorn and cranberry strings. They are so simple and festive. I couldn't think of a better way to describe my taste for the holidays.
I was glad to have two helpers on hand.
Although one did all the work (Sophia)....
... and the other all the eating (Mateo)!
