student for life

My wonderful mentor teacher and friend is one of those really wonderful teachers who shares with you her knowledge and experience as freely and honestly as possible. She also teaches us (and this a great part of our school philosophy) that we are all students for life. There is always more for us to learn and more situations, challenges, for us to learn from. I love that idea so much and this way life seems so much more interesting. The idea of one (the teacher) is superior to some else (the student) goes away and this way we are all learning together.

I don't think I need to say that of course with this idea still comes a huge amount of authority and guidance, especially with children, but it comes from a place that we are all learning and are in this together!
