oopsy daisy baby site

My cousin recently e-mailed me the link to this fun store. I could think of some girls who would love to twirl in one of these skirts!

Thank you, Katja for directing to this site!

vintage and flea market finds

I don't know why it has taken me this long, but it was not until last weekend that I made it to the fleamarket right here in town. I did find some special treasures.

We had barely stepped on the premises when I eyed these boots. For $4 and fitting they had to come with me.
For Sophia's room I have been looking for a smaller desk and I was smitten with this vintage school desk, perfectly redone. She loves it too.

Recently I have been seeing lots of twigs in vases. This one came in really handy to add some twigs in our bedroom. A little nature in the house always makes me smile.
And this vintage brooch. Star burst, radiant light, you will make many outfits elegant.
Beautiful sunshine, a wonderful friend, coffee in one hand, strolling over the flea market, finding goodies, yes that was a good way to start the weekend.

a day at a time

Hi,
I am not sure what is going on with me in the last few days. I think I might just be feeling a little bit overwhelmed with it all. Sophia being sick with a stomach flu and now Mateo throwing up, a new teacher starting at the school, my friend and mentor leaving the school, teaching full time, planning the schools Valentine's event, maintaining my six flute students, lots of laundry (remember the children are throwing up!) could perhaps have something to do with it?!

Well, I know it will all pass again and soon I will feel like I am on top of it all, but oh right now, I just keep chanting "one step, one moment, one task, one day at a time"

This is already the second post without pictures. Even those will come again, soon.

But when I am completely done at the end of the day, what do I do? I go online and look at pretty things. I adore hair clips and found these pretty ones on etsy.

Off to look after my children and make some school plans.

recital outfit (i wish;))

Next month I am hosting a little flute recital for my flute students. This will be my first. The best part so far is to see how serious and deligently my students are practicing now. I have a very good feeling about that afternoon and I think their performance will bring a new encouragement and purpose to their playing. I want them to enjoy their instrument and play to share the music with the audience.

But of course I can't help and think about the outfit I would like to wear.....

How about this?

bags

And the fall shopping continues. I am in search for a nice bag that helps me carry my work related items to and from school.

Here are some I found that would do the trick.
